Microwave Besan Laddu (Chickpea flour Sweet Balls) By Sherly at 2008-06-06 09:49:14

It is very tasty and very easy to make in microwave.
2 cups chickpea flour (available in Indian stores it is called Besan) 1.5 stick (150grm.) butter 1.5 cups confectioner’s sugar or Powdered Sugar. ½ tsp cardamom powder 2 tsp. Chopped nuts
Roasting time: 10-12 minutes Making balls (Laddu): 15 minute
Take chickpea flour in microwave safe dish (preferably flat like cookie sheet). Flour should be kept spread 1-2 inch high only. Cut butter in small pieces and add in it. Microwave it for eight minutes in high power. In between remove dish from microwave in every two minutes and stir.
After eight minutes add confectioner’s sugar or powdered sugar, cardamom powder and chopped nuts and mix well. Microwave it one more time for two minutes. If it still taste raw then run it for 1 or 2 more minutes. Make sure it should not burn.
Remove from microwave and let it cool for 10-15 minutes. Make balls and garnish it with chopped nuts.
