I am writing the recipe of baked samosa but you can fry it as well.
For cover:
10 sheets of Philo dough (available in frozen section in the stores)
1 stick or 8 tbl. spoon butter
For filling:
6 medium Potatoes boiled and mashed
2 tbl. Oil
few mustard seed and cumin seeds
1 onion diced
1 jalapeno pepper diced
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. red chili powder
1 tsp garam masala ( powder of 2-3 cloves, 2-3 cardamoms, 1 stick cinnamon, 4-5 black pepper)
1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
1/2 tsp. coriander powder
1/2 tsp. cumin seed powder
Method:
In a kadai/frying pan add oil. Add mustard and cumin seeds on it and let it pop. Add onion and pepper and sauté for few moments. Add all other ingredients and mashed potatoes in it. Mix well and set aside.
Turn on the oven into 400 degree. Grease the cookie-baking sheet.
Apply melted Butter on one sheet of Phyllo dough. Fold in two lengthwise. Apply butter again. At the one corner of Philo dough put the filling triangularly. Fold the philo sheet until it rolls up completely. Cut in two.
Do it with all the phyllo dough sheets. Brush the top layer with melted butter. Put it in a baking tray and bake for 45 minutes to one hour. Remove from oven when golden brown.
Serve with tamrind chutney or ketchup or hot sauce. Yummy!!
